About the Project
A tornado also severely affected another portion of First Baptist Church Duncan. The roof system was aluminum shakes, with multiple layers of mopped asphalt shingles over a gypsum deck. We installed double layered 4x10 7/16" OSB anchoring over the steel framing, a high-temperature grade ice-and-water shield, and DaVinci Provenance Slate to provide a proper anchor point. This system was specifically engineered for the existing construction and solved major fastening issues while preserving the fire rating of the gypsum board beneath.
